Read full description of the books The Great Reset: How the Post-Crash Economy Will Change the Way We Live and Work:

Richard Florida's vision of the future is definitely what I am interested in for my future--high speed rail, walkable communities, less reliance on cars and highways and smaller housing. But it's really just a dream at this point. Florida can't quite bring himself to admit it, but through selected quotes of his colleagues he manages to admit that "the evidence for [being frugal] is 'more like wishful thinking."

Florida's historical analysis of two previous American depressions is interesting, though the only real support to his argument they seem to bring is that we are in need of innovation and change. The rest is likely dependent on the arguments that he makes in his other books, such as The Creative Class.
